the area . . .

Main tourist sites including Les Eyzies (Prehistory Centre), mediaeval city of Sarlat, châteaux of the Dordogne valley and cave paintings at Lascaux are all within easy reach.

Outdoor activities including canoeing on the Dordogne and Vezère rivers, swimming, cycling, walking, tennis, riding and golf are available locally.

Excellent restaurants serving regional cuisine, local markets and shops selling local specialities such as foie gras, confit de canard and truffles and the wine growing areas around Bergerac and Monbazillac all serve to make this an ideal place to relax and enjoy good food and drink. Three miles away is the village of Sainte Alvère with a bank, post office, church, baker, butcher, general store, tennis courts and weekly market. Le Bugue, a small market town, is five miles away and has most facilities including supermarket and petrol station.
